Since its establishment in 1977, the plant has witnessed the booming business of Wei Chuan and faced the test of food safety incidents. Despite ups and downs, the plant received certification for international food safety and quality standards (SQF) for the 7th consecutive year in 2022 thanks to the dedication and hard work of its employees, enabling it to continue to provide consumers with the safest and highest-quality products. Through Wei Chuan’s focus on the food industry, the plant continues to invest in the development of new production lines and replace old equipment; all of its employees should be fully prepared and work together to build a sustainable Wei Chuan.

In line with the trend of corporate sustainable development, the Douliu Plant will continue development in the areas of food safety, sustainable environment and smart production in the future: 1. Food safety: continued receipt of certifications for food safety quality standards (SQF), requirements for food safety production design, etc.; 2. Sustainable environment: green factory certification, introduction of the concept of green building: replacement with energy-saving boilers, use of green building materials, introduction of energy-saving air conditioning and use of energy-saving LED lamps, hiring of 100% local employees, etc.; 3. Smart factory: introduction of the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) for production management, introduction of automated production equipment, etc., to promote a fully automated and smart factory, and an electronic food safety traceability system will be established to monitor management indicators on a real-time basis to achieve production transparency.

With the current rapid changes in the technological, economic, political and social environments, it can be expected that in the future, the ways factories operate and the focuses of their management will be different from what they are now. Therefore, it is necessary to make plans and to prepare in advance in order to ensure survival and sustainable development, and to continue to provide the safest and highest-quality products to all customers.
